I recently bought my first opel , an insignia model A late 2015 , 1.6cdti with 170.000 km .

The engine is known to have problems , but this one hasnt got any rattle of the timing chain so far . anyone did the timing chain tensioner mod already ?

it is a decent job to put in a small gasket .

In the months to come im planning to clean the egr system and the dpf , since it has already some decent mileage .

Also i want to change the transmission oil . but what brand and type do i have to buy , there is so much choice available so i dont know which one to choose .

Ps , you can answer in german , i do understand it quite well but im not so good in writing .

ive ordered this one , seems to be used a lot in an m32 gearbox

does anybody has a good service garage in NRW .

i currently have 173Kkm , but i would like to have the chain renewed .

when the engine is warm , the sound is ok , but it has some noise when cold .

i know but thats not the problem

ive got two quotes from official dealers for the same job , 1 was over 3000 euros , the other was 2200 .

i dont know why such a difference for the same job and same parts exchange

i'll try to upload a video from the noise with a warm engine , i think its still good , but since the car has already 173.000km .

you dont see high mileage cars for sale with this engine
